early to mid-1930's antique american original and intact art deco style flush mount elevator cab push button designed and fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york city, ny. the elevator plaque or backplate is comprised of cast bronze with a distinctive "stepped" or skyscraper style design. the bulbous push button is made of yellow brass. the original mechanical and/or electrical components are intact. nicely aged and mostly uniform surface patina. measures 9 x 2 x 2 3/8 inches.
