original and intact c. 1930's vintage industrial freestanding stepback kitchen cabinet likely fabricated by the the hoosier manufacturing co., new castle, ind. the machine age streamlined style cabinet is comprised of two sections with a detachable white porcelain enameled top outlined in black. the top portion contains a spacious "pantry" concealed by a sliding steel door with embossed parallel lines. the topmost portion contains two hinged cabinet doors with original panes of glass. the bottom cabinet is configured with a single pull-out drawer and two hinged steel doors. original black bakelite handles are accentuated with chrome stripes. the exterior and interior have been refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer. measures 26 x 20 x 69 inches.
