original c. 1930's american industrial four-legged angled steel machinist backless chair or stool with a solid maple wood stationary seat. the factory machine shop stool was fabricated by the angle steel stool co., otsego, mi. old blue enameled finish remains largely intact. contains tiers of riveted joints bracing for added support and stability. features a slightly outstretched foot rest or heel ring. the "otsteel" stool was salvaged from a machine tool factory located north of chicago. measures 28 inches in height.
