repurposed c. 1930's american depression era stationary chicken or poultry feeder coffee table likely modeled after designs found in hibbard, spencer, bartlett & company catalogs. the custom-built feeder contains two opposed or flanking weathered wood boards (used as perches for chickens) comprised of rough-sawn oak wood. the feeder box or cabinet is made of bent and folded heavy gauge sheet steel, with spacious single interior compartment. the newly added tabletop is made of old growth pine wood planks. the supporting angled steel four-legged base with flared feet is structurally sound and stable. the steel compoeents have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 39 x 24 x 24 inches.
