early 1930's american made industrial four-legged stationary side table or nightstand designed and fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wi. the diminutive table is comprised of folded and pressed "sheet steel" with a mostly uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. the side table contains an undershelf for additional storage. the finely turned and tapered tubular steel legs are both rigid and stable. measures 15 11/2 x 15 1/2 x 30 1/2 inches.
