low-lying antique american industrial stationary four-legged foot-press machine base with a newly added solid hickory wood tabletop with slightly recessed apron. the repurposed stamping or punch press was fabricated by or for the n.o. nelson co., st. louis, mo. the curved and flared legs contain small foot "pads" with pre-drilled holes for securing the base and machine against the floor. the heavy cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the newly added hickory wood tabletop has been sanded and sealed. the original pivoting foot press pedal was removed. the sound and stable stationary side table can be used in a variety of design settings. only one available.
