original 19th century ornamental cast bronze exterior residential doorbell push button escutcheon plate. centrally located hole surrounded by unique incised neogrec design motif. the top and bottom feature intricatley designed symmetrical floral motifs accentuated with grotesques. the original electric push button components were removed long ago. nice surface patina. likely manufactured by p.f. corbin or perhaps russell & erwin mfg. co. measures approximately 4 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
