original antique american 20th century ornamental wrought iron freestanding sidewalk plant stand. found in an old chicago floral shop. attributed to midwest metal arts, cincinnati, oh. features an intricately designed and well-executed base consisting of heavily twisted wrought iron with an early green paint finish. the scrolled feet are intact. the riveted joint base supports a rather simple and utilitarian steel wire basket. measures 31 inches in height. the wire basket measures 18 inches in diameter.
