original antique american dent hardware company "marble and slate stall fittings and trimmings" volume no. 2 hardware and/or product catalog, featuring a compilation of door hardware, hinges, hooks, clamps and sink strainer designs popular in the early 20th century. the catalog features several detailed illustrations and meticulously designed specifications with prices, etc. the 31 page softcover catalog is embossed with gold metallic colored typography and distinctive graphic design elements typical of the period. the catalog is completely intact with little to no damage. in 1894, three men formed dent hardware co. in newark, new jersey, and shortly after moved to fullerton, pa. the partners were mr. kaiser, mr. newhard and mr. dent, grandfather of the founder of dent manufacturing. together, they ran a very successful company and during the 1920's, were the nations leading manufacturer of refrigeration "ice boxes." interestingly, the company was also a major manufacturer of children's iron toys. at it's peak in the 1920's, dent hardware company employed over 400 people.
