remarkable early 1880's american antique ornamental cast bronze doorknob designed and fabricated by the norwalk lock co., norwalk, conn. the residential entrance door drum-shaped handle contains a nice assemblage of slightly raised floral motifs accentuated by the original baked black enameled inlay. the slightly recessed rim shares similar design motifs. nicely aged surface patina. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
