original c. 1900's antique american ornamental wrought steel interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the sargent hardware company, new haven, ct. the doorknob contains a contrasting black and gold enameled finish used to accentuate the detail. the banded rim doorknob exhibits typical surface wear consistent with age. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
