highly ornate c. 1874-80 american antique ornamental cast bronze interior residential triangular-shaped doorknob rosette or escutcheon designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the oversized doorknob backplate contains a glossy black enameled inlay used to accentuate the fine casting detail. the backplate has three screw hole and a deeply sunken thimble. nicely aged surface patina.
