all original hard to find adjustable three-legged vintage american industrial factory stool manufactured by the dependable manufacturing co., omaha, nebraska. the "rite-hite" stool was designed and patented by charles vite in 1941. features a novel and automatically operative means for locking or retaining the three extensible supporting members by lifting the seat to its uppermost position to permit lowering of the seat to its lowermost position so that it can thereafter by raised to the user's desired position and automatically locked. the bent tubular steel footrest is mounted on the seat-supporting members and remains in a fixed position relative to the adjustable positions of the seat. the angled steel flared feet remain structurally sound and stable. the stationary varnished oak wood seat with incised rings is original and in great condition, considering age. the seat and steel frame have been thoroughly refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer.
