refinished c. 1940's american industrial adjustable gooseneck coil table or bench task machinist lamp featuring a repurposed solid steel gear or sprocket weighted base. the rolled rim "slim helmet" metal shade or reflector was fabricated by or for the fostoria pressed steel co., fostoria, oh. the fully functional brass on/off toggle switch is mounted on a pressed and formed dome-shaped cap or plate (originally secured against a milling machine or metal lathe). the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. measures 28" fully extended.
