four matching original early 20th century city of detroit municipal street lamppost "pineapple" finials with a nicely aged gray paint finish. likely fabricated for or by the general electric company, new york. originally mounted on a fluted lamppost containing a fanciful arc lamp bracket. dates to around 1910-16. the solid cast iron finials feature deep relief multi-faceted pineapples partially concealed by surrounding acanthus leaves. the pedestal bases contain four large screws for securing the finials to lampposts. measure 12 1/2 inches in height. priced individually.
