mid-19th century antique american privy dug blue aqua blobtop pontiled soda bottle manufactured for h.g. rone & co. in st. louis, missouri. the squat body is finished with an applied blob that has significant whittling. cleanly embossed in a serif block letters on the front of the bottle are the manufacturer's name and city, with the latter being abbreviated and having a raised "o" end-letter. the base has a shallow domed kick-up. it contains crudities typical of its age and date of manufacture, including asymmetries, bubbles, and some haze from being untumbled.
