all original american industrial four-legged bent tubular steel hamilton "economy" factory office drafting stool manufactured in the 1930's by the hamilton mfg. co., two river, wi. the stationary stool retains the original, fully operational pneumatic adjustment lever, used to control the telescoping spindle or rod. the refinished solid maple wood seat with slightly sunken center is original to the stool. the solid steel heel ring or footrest is mounted within each of the legs. the underside of the seat retains the original stamped brass manufacturer identification plaques. the steel disc "shoes" provide added stability. the seat and base have been thoroughly refinished. seat height adjusts from approximately 21 to 27 inches.
