early 1930's intact and fully functional wall-mount illuminated ruby red glass theater building exit light fixture designed and fabricated by the mcphilben mfg. co., brooklyn, ny. the completely intact diminutive flush mount caged fixture retains the original convex-shaped ruby red glass lens or shade with original baked-on white enameled lettering. the aluminum fixture contains a mostly uniform finish throughout. the original ceramic socket remains intact. very unique and seldom found exit light fixture.
