exceptionally well-designed american made machine age interior wall-mount illuminated "exit" sign attributed to the kopp glass co., swissvale, pa. the semicircular-shaped thick pressed glass lens or shade contains deeply embossed lettering with original red paint finish largely intact. the top, bottom and front retain the original baked white enameled finish. the "stepped" cast aluminum shade fitter is original and intact. the old leviton keyless socket is secured tightly in place. this type of illuminated sign is hard to find and highly desirable. salvaged from a depression era theater in pennsylvania. measures 11 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
