early american hand-painted pine wood freestanding folk art cabinet or cupboard containing a single hinged door with raised panel and unornamented nickel-plated keyhole escutcheon plate. the variegated paint finish contains an allover crazing, consistent with age. the fanciful three-sided bead and reel hand carved crown molding is original and intact. although dated 1929, the cabinet is believed to be older, possibly early 20th century. the finely turned feet or structurally sound and secure. unidentified artist. originates from pennsylvania. measures 21 1/2 top L, 17 3/4 bottom L x 13 W x 37 H.
