very unusual early 20th century vintage industrial silver-plated glass reflector or "scoopette" manufactured by the pittsburgh reflector & illuminating co., pittsburgh, pa. this type of fixture was often used for interior show-window lighting applications. the shade is comprised of one-piece blown glass with scientifically designed corrugations, effectively breaking up and diffusing the light rays. reflectors containing the hand-applied metallic copper paint exterior finish are rather difficult to come by. manufacturer markings found on the interior and exterior of the shade. only one remaining in stock.
