all original massive 19th century salvaged chicago interior residential quartered oak wood wall-mount console or pier mirror designed and fabricated by or for the george l. petersen company, chicago, ills. the darkly varnished pier mirror features two columns flanking the centrally located opening accentuated with ornamental wood trimwork. the project shelf and header are structurally sound and stable. the late 19th century oak wood console was salvaged from a chicago two-flat greystone undergoing demolition.
