group of 28 matching original salvaged chicago antique american victorian era passage door backplates or escutcheons removed from a three-flat chicago residence undergoing demolition. the backplates were likely designed and fabricated by the nashua lock company, nashua, nh. the refinished backplates were brushed down to bare metal (previously painted) and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the interior residential passage door backplates are in great shape considering age. the doorknob escutcheons were fabricated in the late 1880's. priced for the entire lot.
