fully refinished amrican industrial early 20th century antique tavern table base consisting of a heavy cast iron pedestal base. design and fabrication attributed to r. rothchild's sons co., cincinnati, oh. the heavily ornamented post or spindle is slightly tapered with embossed ring accent. the unusually shaped three-legged base features floral design motifs above each foot. a large centrally located threaded steel rod holds the pedestal base together. the three-legged base contains a brushed metal finish, sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 26 1/2 inches tall.
