original c. 1890's american vintage industrial stationary four-legged worn and weathered oak wood office draftsman stool or chair designed and fabricated by the johnson chair company, chicago, il. the seat bow back chair with turned spindle slats retains the original black leather seat pad. the baked black enameled cast iron bracket affixed to each leg contains a solid steel threaded spindle or upright that revolves with ease. fully adjustable in height. the bent wood heel ring or foot rest is largely intact. salvaged from a downtown chicago architectural firm's office. seat height measures 28 1/2 inches.
