vintage american medical physiotherapy apparatus in the form of a completely intact ultra-violet therapy "alpine sun" model floor lamp fabricated exclusively by the mcintosh electrical corp., chicago, il. the lamp contains a weighted cast iron base with original white porcelain enameled finish. the fully adjustable telescoping pole contains a largely intact chrome plated finish. the arm containing the multi-faceted reflector contains two points of adjustment - with original knobs or handles intact. the ventilated socket cover is tightly affixed to the aluminum reflector. the heating element has been replaced with a standard incandescent light bulb. the vintage medical floor lamp has been rewired.
