intact and fully functional late 1940's american industrial machinist articulating arm floor lamp fabricated in part by the fostoria pressed steel co., fostoria, oh. the unique freestanding machine shop task lamp contains a stand comprised of heavy gauge tubular steel pipe affixed to a weighted cast iron x-shaped base. the lamp is comprised largely of pressed and folded heavy gauge steel with original rolled rim parabola-shaped shade or reflector intact. the three ball and socket joints are in great working condition. the on/off toggle switch is original and intact. the industrial lamp has been thoroughly brushed to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer.
