original and intact 19th century american hand or steam-powered machine carved exterior triangular-shaped limestone window header salvaged from a chicago victorian cottage undergoing demolition. the window hood or header was likely fabricated by the the bedford steam stone works, bedford, indiana. the header contains a centrally located incised floral motif flanked by fanciful scrolls. surface wear consistent with age.
