all original and intact late 19th century antique american eastlake style "ceylon" pattern residential passage door lockset designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the corbin hardware consists of two matching dome-shaped doorknobs and backplates, a decorative mortise lock and matching double-sided fanciful strike plate. the american eastlake doorknob lockset was salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. the mortise lock retains the original latch and dead bolts.
