late 19th century ornamented swivel top organist's stool with four-legged base comprised of ornamental "twisted wire" retaining the original copper-plated finish. the highly ornate central axis, which houses the threaded rod that raises and lowers the swivel seat features a rope pattern motif below a beaded border platform. the spacious round stool swivel seat is made of solid oak wood retaining original stained finish. the fanciful stool was designed and fabricated by the tonk mfg. co., chicago, il. seat width: 14", height: 19".
