refinished 19th century american eastlake style surface-mount ornamental cast iron "oriental" pattern interior residential cupboard cabinet latch with matching catch. the "oriental" pattern kitchen cabinet hardware was designed and fabricated by branford locks works, branford, ct. the spring-loaded latch or bolt is actuated by rotating the cast bronze t-shaped handle clockwise or counterclockwise. the cabinet latch and catch have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition. measures approximately 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
