very unique oversized c. 1940's american industrial heavy gauge steel slanted front factory foreman's workshop desk retaining the original gunship gray enameled finish. the compartmentalized worktable overshelf features a centrally located viewing portal flanked by open-ended cubbyholes. the spacious slanted front workspace contains a rolled rim edge to prevent spillage of papers, pens, clipboards, etc. the bottom portion of the workstation contains a large central doubling as a footrest and additional storage space. the welded joint surface mount hinged cabinet doors remains in excellent working condition with lockable hasps intact. the two opposed pull-out drawers contain welded joint angled drawer pulls. the mammoth workstation was custom-built "in house." salvaged from an old chicago boiler works factory. measures 72 x 33 x 71 inches.
