set of original and structurally sound 19th century american industrial "companion" treadle lathe machine bases or legs designed by perry mason & co., and fabricated by the millers falls company, located in millers falls, mass. the matching ornamental legs are comprised of cast iron with a uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. the combination lathe and saw was designed specifically for the youth market. manufacturer markings (in the form of embossed lettering) are found along one of the stretchers. measure 15 x 3 x 27 inches. priced for the pair.
