heavy duty c. 1940's vintage industrial freestanding heavy gauge steel shelving unit with original green paint finish. the multi-tier "small parts" storage unit was salvaged from an old general electric factory now shuttered. the collapsible shelving unit contains angled steel uprights reinforced by cross-bracing and/or stretchers. the folded and pressed steel shelves contain raised edges on three sides (designed to prevent spillage). possibly fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. measures 20 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 50 inches.
