pair of original and largely intact america victorian era oak wood tapered and turned "room divider" columns salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. the stave-built colonnades with glued lock joints contain an older varnished finish with surface wear evident. the neoclassical style ornamental four-sided capitals are comprised largely of gesso affixed to a wood core. the highly stylized corner volutes are all intact. the built-up pedestal bases are original and intact. priced for the pair. fabricated by the decorators supply co., chicago, il. the antique american columns measure 68 inches in height.
