pair of original c. 1900's antique american ornamental cast bronze "chantilly" pattern decorative flush mount interior residential swinging door push plates. the french baroque style backplates were originally used in conjunction with a mortise lock, hence the skeleton keyholes. the set of oversized backplates were likely fabricated by penn or the reading hardware company, reading, pa. richly detailed with nicely aged surface patina. measure 13 3/4 x 3 inches. priced for the pair.
