exceptional one of a kind museum quality original and very well-maintained perspective rendering of the newly-built parisian novelty company factory extant building, located at 3510 s. western avenue in chicago, ills. the late 1920's remarkably detailed hand-drawn watercolor architectural rendering is retained within it's original gilded wood frame. the original rendering was mounted on a wall in the parisian novelty factory office, where it has remained since the factory's opening in 1927. the vividly colored framed factory building rendering was done by the hand of h.d. jenkins, an architect, among other things, who served on the chicago architectural committee for a number of years. the artistic building rendering is the only one known to exist. the parisian novelty co. was founded in 1898 as a maker of celluloid advertising specialties. the company was one of the largest button and/or pocket mirror manufacturers in the united states. some of the more notable products include, but not limited to, pocket mirrors and golf bag tags, badges for sears sales clerks, do not disturb signs for hotels, and rare 1934 babe ruth buttons for quaker cereal.
