original and intact late 1940's american vintage industrial ceiling (hanging) or wall-mount illuminated exit sign designed and fabricated by the western fluorescent light company, chicago, ill. the incandescent light fixture retains the original reverse-baked on enameled red lettering against a solid white background. the housing is comprised of cold-rolled pressed and folded steel with a mostly uniform surface patina. the industrial exit light was recently salvaged from a former crane brothers mfg. company factory building addition built in 1870. two identical triangular fixtures are available.
