original and intact late 19th century american victorian era portrait tile depicting the head of a stag encircled by foliage. the antique ceramic tile contains a visually intense majolica glazed mustard color finish. attributed to the hamilton tile works of hamilton, ohio. allover crazed surface evident. measures 6 x 6 inches. signed "b" in the right corner. any and all mortar has been carefully cleaned from the backside of the tile. the counterpart is available.
