all original c. 1860's lightly tumbled civil war-era cornflower blue glass soda or mineral water bottle retaining the original applied tapered collar or lip with single ring. the privy-dug light cobalt blue antique american soda bottle was manufactured for bottler john wise, located in allentown, pennsylvania. the clean and intact long and narrow neck bottle exhibits slop-over under the the applied top. the body contains a good strike, with clear and legible embossed lettering, containing the bottler's name and place of origin. allover crudities in the form of bubbles and slight asymmetry consistent with age. the smooth base is relatively flat with a shallow dome. key hinge mold markings evident.
