c. 1880's american eastlake style ornamental cast brass "oriental" pattern interior residential doorknob & backplate. salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1888. the backplate and rosette were manufactured by branford lock works, branford, ct. the backplate with single keyhole contains traces of the original baked black enameled inlay. backplate measures 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches and rosette is 2 inches in diameter. priced for the set.
