one of seven matching original and intact 19th century antique american ornamental wrought brass "ceylon" pattern interior residential passage door locksets designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the highly desirable eastlake style hardware was salvaged from a chicago residence constructed around 1887. the set includes an ornamented mortise lock, two matching backplates, two dome-shaped matching doorknobs and a strike plate. the decorative hardware components are comprised of wrought brass with the ceylon pattern used throughout. the mortise lock retains the original fully functional deal and lock bolts. a total of seven matching sets were removed from passage doors. each set is priced individually.
