19th century american antique eastlake style "bamboo" pattern commercial store door rabbeted mortise lock designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the thumblatch door mortise lock contains an ornamented faceplate with four screw holes for mounting purposes. the solid bronze latch and dead bolts are intact. the lock box is comprised of cast iron with original "japanned" or baked black enameled finish. measures approximately 6 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 3 inches.
