early 1940's refinished vintage american industrial portable medical tabletop dental x-ray-film viewer designed and fabricated by or for the general electric x-ray corporation, schenectady, n.y., u.s.a. the streamlined style viewer retains the original viewing panel backlit by florescent lighting. the weighted cast metal base and lamp housing have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the viewer can tilt to any desired angle. the original on/off switch, in the form of a white plastic dial is intact and fullly functional. great overall condition, considering age. likely used in either a dental laboratory or dentist's office.
