all original early 20th century reinforced industrial heavy gauge yellow brass portable or handheld factory strainer basket salvaged from an old steam gauge factory. the cylindrical basket is comprised primarily of brass mesh fastened to flat bar stock with a multitude of copper rivets. the strainer was likely used in-line with process piping to remove larger particulate matter and contaminants that may damage pumps, valves and other process equipment. original bent brass rod drop handle intact. great overall condition, considering age. measures 13 x 10 1/2 inches.
