19th century american antique eastlake style ornamental cast brass "oriental" pattern interior residential window sash lift or pull fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the flush mount window sash handle contains a deeply recessed "cup" handle with fanciful backplate. the screw holes are concealed within the recessed region. contains traces of the original black enameled inlay, used to accentuate the casting detail. salvaged from a chicago residence built around 1887-89. measures approximately 3 1/8 x 1 7/8 inches.
