unusual and all original c. 1920's hard to find and highly desirable single-sided high voltage cautionary sign with a centrally located skull & crossbones symbol. the deeply embossed die cut steel sign was produced for the mount whitney power & electric co., california (founded by william hammond around 1898). retains the original yellow enameled finish with distressed surface patina. exact sign fabricator unknown. measures 9 7/8 x 5 inches.
