c. 1930's american industrial wall-mount white vitreous china drinking fountain or water "bubbler" possibly fabricated by the d a. ebinger sanitary mfg, co., columbus, oh. the "ebco" bubbler contains a deeply recessed bowl with rolled rim. the original nickel or chrome plumbing fittings were removed long ago. most factory or commercial settings were equipped with the more durable enameled cast iron fountains, which tend to outlast the solid china fountains due in part to their fragility and vulnerability to cracks and/or damage from abuse or frequent use. no maker markings can be found on this particular fountain, but it could very well be a wolff or perhaps, hardin-lavin co. the nickel-plated bronze metal drain remains intact. great overall condition. light surface wear and some surface crazing evident. the base plate contains two holes for anchoring against the wall. the opening on the right side contained the manually operated handle. measures 14 x 12 x 8 inches.
