completely intact and fully functional c. 1930's vintage american industrial explosion or vapor-proof pendant light fixture salvaged from a steam gauge factory located in chicago. the heavy duty type single electric light fixture retains the original screw-threaded clear glass globe enclosed within a reinforced steel lamp guard. the cast iron hood is tapped for 1/2 stem or conduit. the heat-resistant ceramic socket is original and intact. a multitude of rubber and cork gaskets make the fixture vapor-proof. the shallow bowl reflector with rolled rim is comprised of cold-rolled steel with original green porcelain enameled exterior. the underside of the reflector is coated in a reflective white porcelain enameled finish. a total of four matching units are available (listed individually). fabricated by the benjamin electric mfg. co., chicago, il. measures 16 inches in diameter and 21 inches tall.
