heavily reinforced early 1920's american vintage industrial pressed and folded cold-rolled steel portable "davis apparatus" welding equipment carrying case designed and fabricated by or for the davis-bournonville company, jersey city, n.j. the heavy gauge steel case contains a undivided spacious interior with original enameled paint finish. the exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. the two opposed clasps, lockable hasp and handle are all original and in working condition. the corners are reinforced with riveted joint strap metal. measures 25 x 13 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches.
